Kile Smith is Curator of the Fleisher Collection of Orchestral Music as well as a composer of concert and church music. His one-hour Vespers for choir and Renaissance ensemble premiered to critical acclaim and will be released on CD in 2009.
His hymn from the Summer 2008 issue, "O Lord, Our Lord, Your Excellent Name," is based on Psalm 8.
